We've been bringing the party to life for over 30 years with groove, soul and rock. In our pieces that unite peoples, we recycle traditional folk music from South-Eastern Europe, from the Klezmer tradition as well as pieces by Roma musicians. Our melodies come from: Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Albania, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Greece, Turkey, Ukraine, Poland, Georgia... We sing our own self-written lyrics in English, often in multi-part harmony.

Balkan Express is versatile and can be adapted to any occasion: unplugged for an aperitif or completely unamplified, as background music at a dinner where conversation is still possible, or with full power as dance music. Our strength is getting young and old alike moving. A celebration with joyful dancing is simply unforgettable!
