HELMNOT is one of the largest independent cultural organizations in Germany. In a very short time, the company gained national and international recognition through its unconventional theater ideas and art projects. The poetic, modern, and sometimes surreal imagery of HELMNOT is moving. The legendary productions have convinced hundreds of thousands of viewers so far.
In the touring theater sector, the team travels more than 120,000 km per year across borders in Europe and around the world. Founded in 1995, the artist company is based in Liechtenstein/Saxony.
Surreal visual productions with giant stages, figures up to 6 meters tall, and moving steel objects, as well as fantastic stilt, puppet, and dance theater, gigantic open-air spectacles, and poetic stage shows, form just a small part of the continuously growing repertoire.
On 9,700 sqm, there are artistic workshops such as theater sculpture, costume and set design, metal and carpentry workshops, model making, etc. Huge production halls and modern studios are complemented by rehearsal rooms, dance hall, graphics/photography studio, management, and project rooms.
Every year, numerous new highlights for international indoor and outdoor events are created in our own workshops.
