The Toff

Host your next birthday, corporate function, product launch or Christmas celebration at The Toff, on level 2 of Curtin House in Melbourne CBD. Our two main rooms offer different settings: Carriage Side combines a cocktail bar with distinctive train-carriage booths and semi-private areas, while Stage Side provides an open performance and event space with its own bar.

Stage Side supports live music, DJs, conferences, launches and other private or industry events. It has a live PA and lighting system, DJ equipment, a projector, stage and bass and drum-kit backline. Our team can help source bands, DJs, MCs and comedians. If you prefer your own performers, our in-house sound technicians can coordinate with them and manage sound and lighting, with costs quoted for your event.

For booked functions, our sister venue Cookie provides catering, with canapé and platter options alongside drinks packages or a pre-arranged bar tab. This is separate from normal bar service: The Toff does not offer a regular walk-in food menu. Please arrange event catering in advance and advise dietary requirements at least seven days before the function. Full venue hire is possible subject to availability and minimum spends.

The Toff is strictly an 18+ venue. A lift provides access from ground level, and the venue is wheelchair accessible; contact us before arrival if you need confirmation that the lift is operating. For a booth gathering on Carriage Side, reserve your seating in advance. Standard booth bookings generally run for two hours, with extensions possible for larger groups; private function arrangements are discussed separately.
