Private dining, weddings and celebrations in East Melbourne
Our upstairs Mural Room is the largest private space, accommodating 40 seated or 100 standing guests. Its own bar, indoor plants, moody lighting and a large picture window create a warm setting with views towards Yarra Park and the city. For a smaller event, the Front Dining area and Courtyard each accommodate 20 seated or 30 standing guests, while the Lounge offers seating for up to 18.
Exclusive venue hire brings these spaces together for up to 60 seated or 150 standing guests. These figures cover the whole venue, so the individual areas should not be added to the exclusive-hire capacity. You can discuss how your guests will move between dining, drinks and the outdoor courtyard during the event.
Our kitchen uses seasonal, locally sourced produce with European influences. Choose shared dining or canapés, and let us know about vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free or other dietary requirements in advance. A microphone and projector can be arranged, along with your own playlist or DJ.
We welcome decorations, flowers, signage and a celebration cake, with cake service charges depending on the arrangement. Minimum spends vary by date, season and space. Tell us your event details and our functions team will guide you through the menu, booking conditions and planning. Nearby tram routes and Jolimont station provide convenient public transport options for guests.

Such a vibe! Great atmosphere and very friendly staff.
We had our small 24-person wedding here last week and everything about it was perfect! From beginning to end Gus and the Tippler team were lovely to work with, and made our night so fun and stress free. All the details such as minimum spends, menus, decor, etc were clearly communicated to us and Gus was so great with giving us suggestions for the flow of the night and how best to work with our budget. We started with the ceremony in the small room next to the bar, and transitioned right into dinner from there. Service was impeccable, all the staff were so attentive and kind, and the food absolutely blew us away. Everyone couldn’t stop raving about it the next day. The whole space is also so beautiful on its own - we hardly did any decorating except for a few personal touches. If you’re looking to host a wedding or event here, I’d highly recommend it. I’m so grateful we chose this place for our special day.
