The Promenade Docklands

Host your wedding, conference, corporate celebration or milestone birthday by the water at The Promenade Docklands. Our three principal event spaces overlook Victoria Harbour and the Melbourne skyline, with an in-house culinary team and event coordination to help you plan the occasion. For large multi-space cocktail events, our advertised venue maximum is up to 1,200 guests; the rooms and event layout must be scoped with our team rather than treating that figure as the capacity of one room.

The Harbourview Room combines floor-to-ceiling views, natural light and a corner balcony. It accommodates up to 550 cocktail guests or 300 in theatre style, with classroom arrangements for 132 and cabaret arrangements for 160. Our Waterfront Room and Bar offer a connected setting with an undercover balcony for up to 650 cocktail guests or 250 in theatre style. Final seated dining and classroom arrangements in these larger spaces depend on the agreed layout and use of adjoining areas.

For a more intimate occasion or breakout session, the Victoria Room provides its own foyer, private bathroom facilities and personalised bar service. It accommodates up to 96 in banquet style, 70 for cocktails, 48 in theatre or classroom style and 56 in cabaret style. The Waterfront Bar is part of the connected Waterfront offering; its separate card should not be added as a fourth principal room or as extra whole-venue capacity.

Plan your menu around canapés, share plates, set menus or a multi-course gala dinner. Beverage packages and bar tabs are available to discuss, and menus can be tailored to dietary requirements. External catering can be considered under our venue guidelines; agree the arrangements and any cultural or dietary requirements with our team before booking.

Our event spaces support presentations with projectors, screens, sound, microphones and lecterns, with staging available in the Victoria Room.
