Destination weddings, offsites and retreats at One Mile
Our central facilities include an approximately 250 m² covered deck, an 80 m² yoga room and a shared kitchen and dining area. The billabong, gardens and quiet outdoor areas offer a relaxed backdrop for connecting, learning and celebrating. Discuss the room layout, weather plan and equipment you need with our team; the wedding guest limit is not a seating capacity for every room.
Nine cabins provide accommodation for residential events. Shared and private-room arrangements have different limits, so confirm your overnight guest list separately from your event attendance. We can arrange catering and bar services, while retreat guests can also discuss bringing their own food.
For business groups, we offer day hire and multi-day offsites, training and small conferences. Wellness services can be added by advance arrangement, including yoga, massage, meditation and other treatments. Nearby activities can be considered as part of your itinerary rather than assumed to be included onsite.
One Mile Beach is around a 600-metre level walk away, with Nelson Bay a short drive from the property. Tell us about your preferred dates, accommodation, catering and access needs so we can tailor the arrangements for your group.

We travelled from the UK to have our elopement ceremony at Oasis, having chosen the venue after reading reviews and seeing some lovely photos online. Obviously it wasn't possible to visit beforehand so we could have been disappointed but we were absolutely over the moon with the venue! Arrangements were mostly done by email but also managed to speak to Deirdre and Michele via WhatsApp beforehand, and they were both so helpful, suggesting a photographer and celebrants. We can thoroughly recommend Oasis, with its lovely tropical setting, nearby beach for photos, great, fully equipped accomodation, (with a hot tub which was brilliant for a spot of relaxation!), and a lovely grazing platter for after the ceremony. In the morning we breakfasted on the patio, listening to the birdsong and soaking up the tranquil atmosphere.......absolutely perfect! We should mention here that Florent Vidal, the photographer, and Wayne Cooper, our celebrant, were also excellent choices. We had the most wonderful stay at The Oasis at One Mile Beach. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed. The property is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by lush gardens and wildlife, making it feel like a peaceful rainforest escape while still being just a short walk to the beach. Our cabin was spotless, spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect- close enough to Nelson Bay and Anna Bay to explore during the day, but quiet enough to truly switch off. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with beautiful surroundings, we couldn’t recommend The Oasis highly enough. We’ll definitely be back!
Beautiful stay. Kim and shane are the nicest most genuien people ive met in this town n ive lived here over 20+ years. So down to earth and made my stay more enjoyable. Hot shower, clean facility. And i recommmend the oasis 110% and will be going back. Plus pet friendly. Thanku guys. Caiden.
