The Fitzroy Beer Garden

Bring your birthday, engagement celebration or hens party to The Fitzroy Beer Garden on Gertrude Street. We offer private function spaces alongside the atmosphere of a lively neighbourhood beer garden, with food, cocktails and event arrangements planned around your group. Choose a smaller room or ask about whole-venue hire for a larger occasion.

The Den accommodates up to 25 guests, with large windows overlooking Gertrude Street and space for a private dinner or cocktail-style gathering. Standard function hire gives your group exclusive use for four hours, with a current minimum spend of AUD 2,000 used towards your food and drinks.

For a larger celebration, the Greenroom welcomes up to 80 guests in a semi-outdoor beer-garden setting. It includes a private bar, projector, DJ booth and private music options. Bookings can provide two or four hours of exclusive use; the current two-hour minimum spend starts at AUD 2,500. Availability differs between weekdays and weekends, so discuss your date with our team.

Full-venue hire brings together both bars, The Den, Greenroom and garden. It is offered for larger groups, with a tailored minimum spend and four-hour exclusive booking. Whole-venue hire is unavailable on Fridays, Saturdays, public holidays and their eves. Our team will confirm suitable guest numbers and the final arrangements for your occasion.

Functions generally cater to guests aged 18 and over, with exceptions only by prior arrangement. Bucks parties are not accepted.
