The food was incredible, I'm still dreamining about it. Listen to the recommendations from the wait staff & someliers they know what they're doing.

The Charles Grand Brasserie & Bar is an excellent, high-end dining destination in the Sydney CBD, known for its stunning Art Deco room, theatrical tableside service, and European-inspired menu. Located at 66 King Street, the hatted restaurant delivers an immersive old-world experience that channels European grandeur right in the heart of the city. Set in a soaring, beautifully restored Art Deco space featuring leather booths, heavy linen, and white-aproned waitstaff, the set lunch menu starts at A$59.00 and the restaurant accepts Kris+.

Came here for a business networking event recently. Staff was friendly and service was good. Very nice interiors and ambience within the venue as well. Already plan to re-visit for a dinner / birthday celebration. Edited - Came back for the dinner and I must say the duck was amazing. The Pros The full duck dish was amazing. In particular the way they made the neck/ sausage was delightful. There was a mix of meat and pistachios. Just be warned that if you’re ordering the full duck for just 2 people, you’ll probably struggle to finish. The birthday cake/ dessert was also just delicious. The perfect mix of dark chocolate to ensure that it’s not too sweet. Made to perfection. Highly recommend you pre-order this when booking a table. There’s also a wide variety of wines if you’re into that type of drinks. I believe the drinks menu was around 100 pages?! That said, there was only about 6-8 cocktail options which was very limited. The Cons The service on the night was quite appalling. I was left waiting at the lobby for a good 5 minutes before someone bothered to come up and greet us to take us to our table. On that end, it was quite a bad experience. The staff saw us enter, some acknowledged us and nodded at us. But none bothered to come up to great us and take us to a table. Never had this sort of experience before at a ‘fine dining’ restaurant before.

Great vibes and delicious dinner. Highlight was definitely the steak - which was cooked perfectly and the sauce paired so well for a tender bite. The honey cake was also quite insane (insanely GOOD 😍) We also got the broccolini and the Nduja pasta which were divine. Service was great with the waiter taking time to recommend cocktail parings with our meal 🫶
