Multi-level bar and event venue
Velvet is a glamorous below-ground bar and club space featuring a private entrance, dedicated bar, and bathrooms, with capacity for up to 85 persons. The Main Bar occupies the ground level and features gold and dark timber finishes, a bar stocked with over 100 spirits, and an a-la-carte kitchen for bar food service, accommodating up to 155 persons. The Terrace Bar and Courtyard on the upper floor is a heated open-air garden space equipped with Bose SurroundSound and PreSonus powered speakers, with capacity for up to 140 persons.
The venue offers on-site catering with a selection of canapés and platters prepared fresh in the kitchen. Sound equipment is available across all spaces. The venue is licensed to operate from 12:00 PM to 2:00 AM Monday to Thursday, 12:00 PM to 3:00 AM Friday and Saturday, and 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM on Sunday.

We booked The Beacham Hotel on Oxford Street, Darlinghurst, for a large group celebrating a friend’s birthday. Claude was incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to make everything easy for us. Held my birthday here. Staff were very easy to work with and arrange the whole event. Food was excellent throughout the night. Bar staff looked after my guests and managed the bar tab very well. Would recommend for any event you wish to hold there
Absolutely amazing food. Great atmosphere too. Its the type of place you sit and relax for hours with mates with less distractions then a normal pub and actually connect with people again. Had an amazing vibe👍
