Service was great but my rump steak was overcooked. I asked for medium rare and it was well past that. Disappointing.
Came here for a family birthday lunch and had a great time. The Alcott is lovely and relaxed, very peaceful and pleasant environment. Everyone was really happy with what they ordered, but the barramundi was hands down the winner—absolutely delicious! Getting the whole family to leave a restaurant completely happy almost never happens, so that’s a huge win. I actually come here pretty often with friends for dinner and drinks too, and the food never disappoints. Couldn't recommend it enough!
When it comes to food and drink we are spoiled for choice in Lane Cove and our many venues are comparable in quality. The point of difference, then, is service. When Cintya comes on duty at the the Alcott, service that routinely shines becomes service that sparkles. As soon as she catches your eye her smile opens and you feel welcomed into her place, rather than into a public venue. Once you are served Cintya circulates to be sure every customer is happy with a meal, topped up with drinks, and is enjoying the experience. Try the Alcott—you will return for an ambiance made special by Cintya’s customer service.
Staff are super friendly. Lovely space, clean and relaxed atmosphere. Suitable for families and friends gatherings. Had the beef brisket Sunday roast… beef was cooked really well, very tender! Had a generous serving of tiramisu, so divine!!
