Reviews
Southern Cross Hotel. Advertised as open til midnight. Walk there. No bar staff. Eventually got a drink. Bar tender finished shift apparently so had to ask security to get someone. She appeared reluctantly and said it was "my last drink of the night". These slack bar tenders and managers are using this excuse for their non performance, and to hide in their office. Not good enough. Spoke to kitchen staff, they aren't thrilled with her either. Georgia, from NZ. Bad all round. Complete contrast to the Golden Barley, up the road. Very welcoming, great food and drink. Made my night - unlike Georgia at the Southern Cross Hotel. I wouldn't even stay or recommend if this is the service level. 👎
Food, Alcohol Pub and a alcohol shop downstairs
Staff were so lovely and food was fab too. They sorted out an issue with our meal straight away, can’t fault the place!
The hotel is much more than we expected... we rented a car so it's very convenient to have free parking. Very near to the SYD airport and car rentals. Also the bus 422 in front takes you directly to Newtown and continue to Pitt Street in the heart of Sydney. Big room, great shower and just perfect for us. We have room 5
