Plan your wedding reception, birthday celebration, engagement or corporate event with us at Shoppingtown Hotel in Doncaster. We offer indoor function rooms and outdoor settings, with catering and beverage arrangements for celebrations, training days, seminars and work gatherings. Our elevated position also brings views across Melbourne’s city skyline.

Our largest space, the Cabaret Room, accommodates up to 1,000 guests for a cocktail event or 450 in a theatre layout, with a general seated capacity of 300. It has a large stage, dance floor, two projector screens, private bars and bathrooms, an exclusive entrance and a cloakroom. Events using the lighting and sound booth require our system technician; basic lights and music from your phone do not.

For a smaller celebration, the first-floor Galaxy Room offers a self-contained setting with a bar, private bathrooms, an outdoor courtyard, dance-floor lighting, sound system and data projector. We offer it for birthdays, engagements, Christmas parties and other cocktail occasions. The Garden Bar provides weather protection, a private bar, festoon lights, a large television and Bluetooth speakers, with a mix of seating and space to mingle. Garden Bar hire excludes Friday nights.

The Skyline Room is next to our bistro and suits private lunches, dinners and corporate occasions, with a projector, screen and air conditioning. Discuss the room, setup and guest numbers with our function team so we can confirm the arrangement appropriate for your event.

Our catering choices include canapés, seated menus, buffets and a barbecue menu. Vegetarian and vegan items are available; please tell us about dietary requirements before your event. Menu minimums and booking conditions vary and should be confirmed when planning.

For guests who would like to stay, we offer 14 accommodation rooms. Our Family Bistro also has an indoor children’s play area. You will find us opposite Doncaster’s shopping precinct, with dining, drinks and function spaces together in one venue.
