Our Ballroom is the setting for larger events, with published capacities of up to 120 guests depending on your arrangements. Chandeliers, deep navy carpets and a backdrop inspired by a Rolls Royce grille bring a sense of occasion. The adjoining Library gives your guests a welcoming pre-function or breakout space, with an open fireplace, concealed bar and comfortable lounge seating.
For a sunlit celebration, our Terrace conservatory offers private courtyard access and the option to extend into the Chinoiserie dining room. It suits birthdays, bridal and baby showers, breakfast gatherings and cocktail events. Wedding celebrations and other private-event formats have different guest limits, so we will help you choose the layout that suits your occasion.
We also offer smaller boardroom settings for meetings, with morning tea, working lunches and afternoon tea available. Our Showroom restaurant and bar provides another option for dining and informal conversations. For weddings, you can plan a ceremony and reception in our event spaces, with tailored menus, canapés and cocktails.
When the event is over, our 88 rooms and suites let your guests stay within the hotel. Valet parking is available, and public transport connects us with central Melbourne. The Royce ticks all the boxes. From the moment you walk through the front doors James and the team make you feel welcome. When in Melbourne we only stay at The Royce. It is a boutique hotel so the attention to detail and cleanliness is always on point. The rooms are a good size as are the bathrooms. And the beds will make you want to sleep in and order rooms service! It never disappoints. Thank you
The Hotel is stunning. Usually the service is fantastic! Unfortunately this time when we had breakfast the man serving us was very rude! It was my daughter’s 20th birthday and we had only just been given the menu when he rudely asked what we wanted and we hadn’t even had time to look. He then snapped at my daughter “I don’t want to know what you want for breakfast! Just a drink order!” I was blown away at his arrogance and the way he spoke to us. It was 7am on a Tuesday morning with 3 people in the dining room. He was also visibly annoyed because we hadn’t booked breakfast.This man either needs to retire or take a holiday!
We recently stayed at The Royce Hotel in St Kilda for two nights in a Boulevard Suite and had a lovely overall experience. The hotel has a beautiful sense of old-world elegance, with a sophisticated atmosphere that makes it feel special from the moment you arrive. The Boulevard Suite was a great choice for a short getaway, offering a comfortable and spacious setting to relax and unwind. The hotel’s character and stylish presentation really add to the experience, making it feel a little more memorable than a standard hotel stay. Two nights was a great amount of time for a relaxing break, and the hotel’s location in St Kilda is convenient for exploring Melbourne and the surrounding area. While there is always room for improvement in any hotel experience, our overall stay was a positive one. The Royce has plenty of charm and is a lovely option for anyone looking for a more refined, boutique-style stay in Melbourne. Overall, we enjoyed our two nights in the Boulevard Suite and would consider staying again.
