Are outdoor spaces fully weatherproof?

We have umbrellas, café blinds and heaters to help with comfort, but cannot guarantee complete weather coverage.

Can guests use a lift to reach the venue?

Yes. A lift goes from Federation Square down to our venue. Discuss any additional access requirements with us before booking.

Where is the closest parking?

The nearest car park is at Federation Square, with access from Russell Street or Batman Avenue. This is nearby parking rather than an exclusive venue car park.

Can you accommodate dietary requirements?

Let us know when booking and we will do our best. Our kitchen handles nuts, shellfish, gluten and eggs, and we cannot guarantee allergen-free food.

Yes. Please advise our team in advance. We can cut and serve it for a charge, or you can do so yourself with plates and cutlery provided.

Well-behaved, friendly dogs on leads are welcome in our outdoor areas.

Yes. We are a short walk from Flinders Street station, on Federation Wharf below Federation Square.

Bring your next corporate gathering, birthday or hens celebration to Riverland Bar on the Yarra. Our venue sits within the historic Federation Wharf vaults beneath Federation Square, with riverside outdoor spaces and cosy indoor areas. You can gather close to the city’s transport connections while giving your guests views of the river and Princes Bridge.

Choose from three named function areas. Bluestone welcomes up to 30 cocktail guests in a semi-private setting beside the heritage walls, with a large fixed umbrella, cocktail furniture and gas heating. The Vaults welcomes up to 60 cocktail guests among bluestone walls, exposed brick, timber furnishings and greenery.

For a larger exclusive riverside cocktail event, our River Garden offers arrangements for 50–200 guests. Open-air spaces, private music options, ceiling heaters and awnings give you flexibility through the seasons. These are separate function options; talk with us about the right area for your group rather than combining their guest limits into a single total.

Our food and drinks menu includes shared plates, pizzas, pub classics, cocktails and non-alcoholic choices, with vegetarian and vegan options. Let us know about dietary requirements when booking, as our kitchen handles allergens and cannot guarantee allergen-free food. You are welcome to bring a cake with advance notice.

Guests can reach us on foot from Flinders Street station, with a lift from Federation Square down to the venue. Nearby parking is at Federation Square’s car park. We have umbrellas, blinds and heaters for outdoor comfort, although full weather coverage cannot be guaranteed.
