Public Dining Room offers multiple event spaces: a Private Dining Room (33 seated, 40 cocktail) with floor-to-ceiling windows and private beach deck access; The Terrace (57 seated lunch, 40 seated dinner, 70 cocktail) with sheltered outdoor ambiance; and exclusive venue hire for up to 110 seated or 135 cocktail guests. Set menus range from Table D'Hote options to signature and share feasting menus, with cocktail canapé packages also available. The venue accommodates corporate events, weddings, birthday celebrations, engagement parties, and group bookings, with a dedicated events team providing tailored service.

Perched right on the waterfront with uninterrupted views of Middle Harbour, it draws regulars for anniversaries, milestone birthdays, weddings, and long lunches alike. The food consistently earns praise, from the Murray cod and pork belly to the legendary lemon soufflé, while the service strikes that rare balance of attentive without being overbearing. Whether you're booking the private dining room for 40 or grabbing a sunset dinner for two, the atmosphere feels genuinely special every time.
It was an excellent experience to return to Public Dining Room for a special family celebration. Food sensational and service attentive.

We have dined at Public Dining Room years ago and yet the service and food are still exceptional. We enjoyed our experience with delicious food, being carefully created, friendly service, lovely views of Balmoral Beach, the ambiance is wonderful. Each dish was very special and we will be back.
