Top spot close to everything staff were / are amazing business lounge was so good I'll be back
Really enjoyed our stay, spacious rooms, good service, fantastic location- breakfast was good but not exceptional a bit of a small venue. Would definitely return.
The exterior of the hotel is beautiful, but I expected the room to be a bit cleaner given the price and the 5-star rating, I found a strand of hair in the bathtub drain, and some of the furniture felt a little dated. The bedsheets also felt rough rather than soft. On the plus side, the bathroom itself was spacious. There was a coffee machine (though the coffee wasn't great), along with milk and two bottles of water provided. My favorite part of the stay was definitely the breakfast buffet, such a wide variety of options and everything was delicious. I'd give the breakfast a solid 10/10! The front desk staff were also friendly and helpful, even though check-in took a while due to long queues and limited staff. I also really appreciated that they offered luggage storage exclusively for hotel guests, which was a nice touch. Overall, a lovely stay with a few small things that could be improved.
My 7-day stay in Room 1125 was completely disrupted on August 31st by a daytime assistant/duty manager's shockingly unprofessional behavior. Despite having written email confirmation for the same room for my entire stay—and never asking for an upgrade—I was given a hostile ultimatum through the staff: either match a higher room rate immediately or pack my bags and move because new guests wanted to pay more.|Distressed by the threat, I actually packed all my bags that night. However, when I spoke to the evening front desk staff, they checked the system and explicitly confirmed my booking was perfectly correct and I did not need to move.|For a 5-star hotel, trying to scam a guest into paying more money, contradicting their own system, and then hiding from accountability is deeply unprofessional. I have submitted formal feedback directly to senior management. I do not want compensation; I simply want reassurance that Paradox Sydney will train its managers to honor confirmed bookings and respect busy travelers so this never happens to anyone else.
