Special Functions with Ormeggio at The Spit
The full restaurant can accommodate a maximum of 90 guests seated or 100 guests for canapé/cocktail style function.
Executive Chef Alessandro Pavoni has designed wedding and private functions menus that are true to the 'Ormeggio Experience'. Guests can choose from a modern or traditional Italian menu or a cocktail style menu. All menus are accompanied by a choice of premium beverage packages. Or we are very happy to tailor a menu and package to suit you - Alessandro is great to work with and loves to make your event and menu special to you.
Chef's Table
The Chef's Table can accommodate up to 12 guests for a semi-private dining experience, separated from the main dining room by a brass mesh curtain. This generously sized table is located beside the window overlooking the marina, perfect for your next intimate event.
The Deck
The Deck can accommodate an impressive private dining experience for up to 30 seated guests or 40 standing guests for cocktail-style events.The Deck boasts the best waterfront views from the venue and can be comfortably used in all weather. Exclusive use of the Deck also includes the Terrazza* outdoor bar area which is perfect for pre-drinks and mingling with your guests on the lounges under the shade of umbrellas. (*Note, the Terrazza itself is weather dependent in the case of rain or strong wind.). We would go so far as to say this is one of the best private dining rooms in Sydney or even Australia.
The Dining Room
Our Dining Room can accommodate privately up to 54 guests and 70 guests for a standing cocktail-style event and provides a contemporary and vibrant atmosphere for both lunch and dinner. With bi-fold windows opening onto a stunning view of the water, you will experience the best of Middle Harbour. Minimum spend requirements apply in order to reserve this space exclusively.

What a meal. We had the Winter special with the matching wines. We had two tricky eaters. One gf and one vegetarian. But they delivered the food seamlessly and the wines were perfection.

We enjoyed the winter set menu at Ormeggio on the Spit yesterday, dining as a group of six from 2:30 pm until 5:00 pm. What a sensational experience from start to finish. The location is exceptional, with beautiful views and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. The food was top quality, beautifully presented and full of flavour, while the drinks complemented the menu perfectly. Every course was thoughtfully prepared, and the entire experience felt polished, indulgent and memorable. The service was warm, attentive and professional without ever feeling intrusive. Ormeggio delivered the perfect long lunch, combining an outstanding setting with exceptional food and drinks. A truly special dining experience that we would be delighted to recommend.
