Newy Studio

Bring your next photo shoot, video production or recording session to Newy Studio in Newcastle. We offer distinct studio environments so your creative team can choose the light, sound conditions and backgrounds that fit the project. Our spaces support content creation, interviews, product work and podcast production, while studio-lighting workshops are also part of our programme.

The Content Studio provides over 140 m² of creative space with a 9 m by 6 m by 6 m daylight cyclorama, varied backgrounds and a styled Creator Corner. Natural light is central to this room, so it cannot be fully blacked out. It is quiet and set back from the street, but it is not a dedicated sound studio.

For controlled audio and lighting, choose the 70 m² Production Studio. This space is soundproofed and sound treated, can be fully blacked out and includes an RGB ceiling grid. We also offer podcast setups using professional microphones and recording equipment; discuss your preferred look, technical needs and setup with us before booking.

Your studio booking is exclusive for its duration. Early setup access can be arranged in advance, and extra lighting or equipment can be added subject to the booking arrangements. A photographer is not automatically included with studio hire, but our in-house photography and video services can be organised beforehand. Tell us about your crew, schedule and intended use so we can confirm the right room, access and equipment for your session.
