King Clarence consistently wins over diners with its creative Asian-inspired menu and genuinely attentive service. From the beloved fish finger bao to the rich tori paitan ramen and perfectly executed claypot rice, every dish seems to spark a reaction. Staff are frequently praised by name for their warmth and menu knowledge, and the team goes out of their way for dietary needs like coeliac and pregnancy requirements. Housed in a former bank building, the funky atmosphere adds to an experience that feels both special and fun.

We visited King Clarence to try out their Ramen Set Menu for lunch. We were definitely impressed! Started out with ordering some extra snacks to start - the oysters were fresh and the vinaigrette was well matched. Our mocktails were a great pairing with the food. The sashimi in the set was fresh and we loved how we can make our own handrolls. The tori paitan broth was one of the loveliest I’ve had in Sydney. So rich and comforting! The noodles, char siu and egg was also perfect. Loved the condiments on the set as well. Finished up with a delicious chocolate cake with miso coffee sauce and sichuan pepper ice cream. What an amazing way to end a delicious meal. Attentive service topped it off. We’ll be back!

An awesome and incredibly fun journey through some of the most creative cuisine I’ve experienced. King Clarence is a fun table and the atmosphere got me dancing on my seat. Nothing beating this feeling really! Kept a smile on my face all night long. I took my partner with me and a friend whom never tried King Clarence. I guess my enthusiasm must have been contagious. We were all over the moon! Thank you team for creating an incredible experience and making it so special. Dinner at King Clarence was so much more than just a meal — it was a true experience. Every course was imaginative, surprising and beautifully executed, with so much thought and creativity behind each plate. My hat off to all the chefs that make this possible. You are amazing. I loved the sense of discovery throughout the evening. Playful, with an inspiration to some classic with a cool twist to it… sophisticated and, most importantly, absolutely delicious. A fantastic experience from start to finish. I got welcomed by Callum and took through an awesome journey with Belinda and Kylie to serve us. The Head Sommelier Gaëtan is a legend and got us a superb wine from the south of France. We had some incredible wine by the glass when the mains hit the table, thank you Manny for the delicious Morgon. If you’re looking for something beyond the usual fine dining experience, King Clarence is definitely worth discovering. 🍷✨ Thank you to all the team to make this evening extra special.
