Bring your guests to Johnny’s Green Room for a rooftop gathering with Italian food, cocktails and Melbourne skyline views. Set above the King & Godfree building in Carlton, our Tuscan-inspired terrace combines relaxed seating, an open balcony and covered areas for an occasion shaped around your group.

Our 2026/27 events pack offers exclusive hire for up to 240 guests. For a smaller cocktail-style event, semi-private arrangements are listed for groups of 26–120, with an allocated combination of undercover and balcony space. These are different configurations of the same rooftop, so their capacities must not be added together.

Smaller groups can book a shared banquet. Our online booking page and event pack give slightly different group-size thresholds, so please confirm the applicable menu and reservation arrangement for your date. For larger functions, we serve roaming canapés and cocktail-style food rather than large seated events.

Choose from Italian-inspired bites, pizza and more substantial dishes, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options to discuss in advance. Drinks can be arranged through a beverage package or an agreed bar tab. Our events pack also includes breakfast functions for end-of-year celebrations, team-building gatherings and early social occasions.

Exclusive hire gives you more flexibility over music, including an agreed playlist or DJ, and microphones can be provided for speeches. For non-exclusive functions, the venue retains the music programme and cannot accommodate dedicated audiovisual arrangements. Confirm your exact requirements and inclusions with our events team.

Guests under 18 are welcome when a parent or legal guardian remains with them. Celebration cakes can be brought with a cakeage fee. Tell us your date, numbers and event format so we can confirm the allocated area, timing, menu, minimum spend and current conditions.
