The venue provides 14 dedicated event spaces totalling 2,361 square metres, accommodating groups from 12 to 400 guests. Spaces include the Boronia Ballroom (400 capacity, 497 sqm), Acacia Room (300 capacity, 296 sqm), Hermitage Room (200 capacity, 329 sqm), and Aster rooftop bar on Level 32 with 180-degree harbour views. Additional venues range from intimate boardrooms to the Conservatory and Conservatory Pantry, suited for private dining, masterclasses, and specialised events.
On-site facilities include dedicated audio-visual teams, in-house catering kitchen, portable PA systems, built-in projectors and screens, staging equipment, dance floor installation, and video conferencing capabilities. An unforgettable birthday stay at InterContinental Sydney We had the most wonderful stay and I genuinely can’t thank the team enough for making my 30th birthday trip so special. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and attentive. We were so surprised and grateful to be upgraded to a beautiful room for my birthday, which was such a lovely gesture. But what really made the stay memorable was coming back to our room to find a birthday cake and a handwritten card waiting for me. It was such a thoughtful personal touch and honestly made my day. It’s these little details that make you feel genuinely valued as a guest. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. Our room was gorgeous, the facilities were fantastic, and we particularly loved the gym and pool. The hotel has such a beautiful atmosphere, and the building itself is stunning especially the incredible heritage architecture and atrium. Every member of staff we encountered was so lovely and helpful, and the level of service throughout our stay was exceptional. Thank you to the entire InterContinental Sydney team, and especially to the staff who went out of their way to make my birthday so memorable. We had such a special stay and would absolutely love to return 🥰

We stayed at the InterContinental Sydney for my partner’s surprise 50th birthday and had a fantastic experience. I’d organised a few things beforehand to make the evening special, including flowers and a card in the room, and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Everything was arranged perfectly and it was a great surprise when we arrived. They also helped us with an early check-in and late check-out, which made a real difference. We were able to settle in early and enjoy the whole day without feeling like we were watching the clock. What really stood out though was the staff. Everyone we dealt with was genuinely friendly and helpful and nothing seemed like too much trouble. It never felt forced or over the top, just really good service from people who seemed to care about making the stay special. The hotel itself is beautiful and the location is hard to beat, but it was the service and all the little things that made the weekend. Thanks to everyone at the InterContinental Sydney for helping make a surprise 50th a really memorable one. We had a great time and will definitely be back.
