Hophaus

Bring your birthday, corporate gathering or wedding reception to Hophaus on Southbank, above the Yarra River. We offer indoor dining and lounge settings alongside sheltered terraces, with different ways to bring your guests together for drinks, a shared meal or a larger celebration. Full-venue hire accommodates up to 400 standing guests, or 250 seated.

Our Dining Room welcomes up to 80 standing or 66 seated guests, while the Dining Terrace accommodates 60 standing or 44 seated. Combine the two for up to 140 standing or 110 seated. These combinations share the same underlying spaces, so their capacities should not be added together when planning your event.

For a more intimate gathering, the Lounge offers a private bar and curtains for added privacy, with up to 60 standing guests or 40 seated depending on the layout. The Garden Terrace welcomes 60 standing, the River Terrace 30 standing or 20 seated, and the Beer Terrace 40 standing or 36 seated. Covered outdoor areas make it possible to enjoy the riverside setting across the seasons.

Our food and drinks offering includes canapés, seated dining, shared feasts and beverage packages, with vegetarian options and dietary needs discussed in advance. Wireless microphones are available in the Dining Room and Lounge, and additional AV can be arranged with our events manager.

We welcome wedding receptions as well as birthdays, corporate dinners and festive celebrations. The Christmas 2026 function package applies exclusively from 26 October to 30 December 2026.
