Dropped in for fine dining lunch. Excellent service. Got busy in the later part of the afternoon. Touch noisey once place filled up a bit. Located bit out of the way. Great food quality. House wines to start; we took the 3 courses option. Food quick to appear once ordered. Parking no problem. Steps down to the building. Facilities clean and maintained. Favourite spot for wedding receptions. Great views of middle harbour.

Extremely happy we chose Gunners Barracks for our daughter's Bridal shower. Lara, Gabriella their event coordinators are wonderful and the whole team of staff on the day were amazing. The High Tea was delicious, plentiful and beautifully presented. Thank you so much for making our event so special.

We cannot thank the staff at Gunners Barracks enough for our beautiful wedding day! From the very start our event coordinator Milla was responsive, immensely helpful, professional and kind. Our event file was incredibly well organised and there were no hidden costs. Milla was most accommodating even when we had to make a few last-minute adjustments. Our function managers Kelly and Holly went above and beyond on the day, ensured I timed my bridal entrance walk on cue, consistently checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed throughout the event and looked after all of our vendors. This review wouldn't be complete without a special shoutout to our very dedicated waiter, Lachlan, who was not only professional (never leaving our glasses empty!), but also an absolute joy to be around! Himself, Liam and Tyler (and another waiter who's name I didn't catch) made sure us and all our guests had the best night ever! The canapes (the oysters were some of the best we’ve ever had) dinner and drinks were all phenomenal - our guests were full of complements. If you’re a foodie like us, look no further than Gunners Barracks! As for the venue itself, it is truly stunning lit up in the evening. Our ceremony on the lush Harbour lawn was beautiful! The sandstone courtyard made for the perfect starry night dancefloor and the 180-degree harbour view of the terrace made the night all the more magical.
