Frida's Field

Frida's Field is a 120-acre regenerative farm located in the Byron Bay Hinterland, approximately 25 minutes from central Byron Bay and 10 minutes from Bangalow. The property operates as a farm-to-table restaurant and exclusive private event venue, featuring a purpose-built timber reception barn with high vaulted ceilings, exposed wooden trusses, recycled-brick fireplace, and large covered verandah opening onto expansive grass terraces with hinterland views.

The event barn accommodates up to 150 guests and is equipped with a full commercial kitchen, restaurant staff, furniture, and serving-ware. The venue is wheelchair accessible and offers Wi-Fi, three-phase power with backup generator, parking for 30 vehicles, and a private bus turning circle. An on-site cottage—a renovated 1890s coach house with cathedral ceiling and exposed beams—serves as bridal suite and accommodation for up to 4 guests.

In-house catering is provided by the award-winning restaurant led by Head Chef Alastair Waddell, who has received the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide Hat Award three times (2023, 2024, 2026). The menu emphasizes contemporary country cuisine using seasonal produce from the farm's market garden, food forest, and local Northern Rivers producers. The venue is fully licensed and offers curated beverage packages featuring small-batch wines, craft beers, and house-made cocktails.

Frida's Field is available for exclusive private hire for weddings, corporate events, micro-weddings, cocktail events, farm tours, workshops, and cooking demonstrations. The property is managed as a completely private venue, ensuring exclusivity for all bookings.
