Bay-view celebrations and rooftop functions in St Kilda
Our enclosed Rooftop opens onto an undercover wrap-around balcony, giving your group a place to enjoy the St Kilda atmosphere and sunset views. Downstairs, the Beachside Room offers street-level access, a bar, fireplace and private outdoor courtyard for up to 120 guests.
Choose the VIP Room for an intimate event of up to 50 guests, with booth seating, an outdoor lounge and private balcony access. The Palms offers a smaller upstairs booth area for up to 30, close to the dance floor and DJ. For a larger occasion, full venue hire gives exclusive access to both levels and accommodates more than 300 guests; discuss the layout and guest number with our team.
Food and beverage arrangements are tailored to your event, including canapes and drinks options. Hens celebrations can also include a cocktail-making workshop or entertainment options. Private events are available every day of the week, even when the venue is closed to the public. Confirm your chosen space, food and booking conditions with us in advance.

My partner and I recently visited Ellora for dinner on a Saturday night while exploring the St Kilda area. We had booked a table inside, but the staff kindly offered us a spot on the balcony, which had a lovely view of the beach. I’m glad we took them up on the offer, as the inside area had more of a lively bar atmosphere, with larger groups coming in for drinks rather than dining. That said, the atmosphere was fun, and we enjoyed sitting outside. We ordered both types of arancini and a pizza, all of which were delicious. The drinks were great too! The staff were friendly and attentive, regularly checking in on us and clearing our plates as we finished. Overall, I’d recommend Ellora for both a date night and a fun night out with friends. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for good food, drinks and a lively atmosphere in St Kilda.
Had the best time here at Ellora! The food was lovely, the service was great, and the rooftop bar overlooking the beach was an absolute chef’s kiss. Their mocktails were also amazing and definitely worth trying. The whole experience was worth the price, from the food to the atmosphere. Definitely recommend this place, and I’d love to come back again whenever I get the chance!
