Warm heritage surroundings for private celebrations in Brunswick
Private venue hire starts from 60 guests, with a maximum capacity of 150. For groups of 60–99, we offer a half-venue arrangement; for groups of 100 or more, the whole-venue option applies. These are alternative ways of using the same venue, so talk with us about the space and setup that best suit your guest list.
Choose a food format that matches the occasion. Our function menus include canapé packages, platters, shared-plate dinners and a set-menu option. You can mix meat, seafood and vegetarian selections, from sliders and prawn gyoza to arancini and miniature pastries. Shared dining options include dips, antipasto, Moroccan chicken and slow-roasted lamb, with additional menu choices available.
Drinks packages and bar-tab arrangements let you plan service around your celebration. Outside drinks are not permitted, and outside food needs prior management agreement. Private functions are licensed until midnight, with setup access normally starting from 4pm. Venue hire has a five-hour minimum and separate hire and catering charges. I had a lovely experience at Brunswick Food. The pancakes were absolutely beautiful, and even though the new wait staff forgot my fairy floss, it was not an issue at all because the pancake itself tasted amazing. My small flat white coffee was also beautifully made, not too hot and not too cold, just perfect to drink. The coffee beans they use are excellent. My partner had the vegetarian plate and said it was delicious, so much so that he complained he was completely full, unlike me! Overall, I highly recommend this cafe to anyone visiting Melbourne. It is located in a beautiful heritage-listed building, with good food and great service. For people with disability or accessibility needs, please do not worry. As a vision-impaired person, I was able to move around comfortably without knocking into chairs or feeling awkward. A very enjoyable and welcoming place.

A trendy place to meet up and chat with family or friends. Had a great time chatting with old friend while having late lunch. I had the Poke Bowl salad. It was so yummy. Had carrot juice and that was refreshing and invigorating. A glass of goodness for the soul The staff were friendly and welcoming; the cafe atmosphere was busy yet we had our catchup without having to raise our voices. Brunswick is lucky to have a lovely cafe like this in the heart of their suburb.
