Garden and chapel weddings in the Dandenong Ranges
For your ceremony, choose the Rose Terrace beneath the trees, the Gazebo in our landscaped gardens, or our indoor Chapel. The Rose Terrace has ceremony seating for up to 75 guests. Inside the Chapel, stained glass, timber panelling and pew seating create a different atmosphere, with heating and cooling for comfort. Your celebration can then move to our reception room for a meal and drinks with your guests.
We include catering in our wedding packages and can discuss dietary requirements before your day. If you want to use a third-party caterer, we can consider an adjusted package. Our wedding team helps with planning, styling, floor plans and the running of your celebration. Reception sound equipment includes speakers and a wireless microphone; a television is available as a hire option.
Stay on site after the celebration in our honeymoon cottage, with six additional ensuite guest rooms available. Accommodation is allocated through the wedding couple rather than booked directly by individual guests. Viewings are by appointment and are not conducted during functions. You are welcome to discuss pets for your ceremony and photographs, but they cannot join the indoor reception or stay overnight; service animals are excepted.

Our wedding at Avalon Castle was absoloutely magical. The castle, the gardens, the staff, the service were all wonderful. I couldn't reccomend them highly enough! I was initally hesitant given our large size and nearly maxing their capacity (115) but it was a perfect space that catered so well to our large grpups while having the capacity to scale down to micro weddings. So many good photo opportunities!
My daughter had her wedding at Avalon on Sept 17th and it was magical. It is the most amazing venue with spectacular gardens and function area. The Cottage, the room the bride and groom hired for the night prior and of the wedding, was large enough for the bridesmaids to all get ready from 7am on the big day. So much was included in the room, Avalon honestly think of everything. From the iron, steamer, make up mirrors, fan, circle light, ample hanging areas, just to name a few things, it made for a very comfortable, clean, roomy space to get ready. The other accomodation available on site, was booked by family and friends, and were also clean and comfy, with a continental brekky included. Being a coeliac was also not any trouble for Avalon, supplying not only GF bread choices for me, but also a separate GF toaster! All allergens were catered for during the reception too, honestly, nothing was too much trouble for Avalon. Everything was done professionally and with smiles. Every single staff member took pride in what they do and were extremely approachable and friendly. Cannot thank them enough for making Jaymi and James' day absolutely perfect and beautiful in every way. Would highly recommend this venue to any couples looking for a spectacular venue.
