The hall was built from fir and beech wood from the region. This creates a warm, clear atmosphere in which one immediately feels comfortable. Especially for concerts and CD recordings, the hall offers outstanding acoustics. In addition to acoustic advantages, the Angelika Kauffmann Hall offers freedom in design. Flexible modules and partition walls allow the open spaces under the roof trusses to appear larger or smaller – suitable for the respective event. The adjoining foyer can also be adjusted in size. For book presentations, exhibitions, etc., the foyer can also be booked separately from the hall.
The Angelika Kauffmann Hall hosts the classical festival Schubertiade, symphony orchestra concerts, as well as conferences (including Wi-Fi) and weddings, and provides space for 600 people (concert seating), 450 people (banquet style), and 380 people (conference seating). For balls, the Angelika Kauffmann Hall can be adapted to accommodate up to 900 people.
